So I've finally decided to go do an OE. And to record and share my adventures I've started this blog.
I managed to sweet talk work with a bit of eye lash battering and promising to brief all my work for the new financial year before I leave for 3 months off work. I'm off to Europe for 86 days!!
The idea of Europe has been growing my head since October, when I had was having Friday Frappechinos and discussing the prospect of my Hungarian Citizenship. It has now evolved to a stage where I paid for my airline tickets yesterday and I've booked and paid the deposit for my tours: 8 days in Great Britain and 22 countries in 37 days. Part of the reason I chose Contiki because exactly 31 years ago Mum and Dad did the tour and I've grown up looking at the pictures and dreaming. Why I didn't think of doing this sooner I will never know.
I leave on the 11th of July, one week after my 30th, and get home on the 2nd of October. That's 86 days.
I'll explain more of my plans as this blog continues and I'll try to update this blog with events leading up to departure and the adventure while as gallop about Europe.
