Week six and half

Yesterday I paid for my Contiki tours, so that's me committed. I received an email from Carolyn today to organise dinner to meet Alana, her flatmate that is on my European Adventurer tour, so I'm doing that next Thursday week. I think it will be nice to have some one I've met before, and as I'm going to miss the prestart meeting because I'll be coming back from the Great Britain tour it will help me feel less left out. but in saying that even if I wasn't going on the first tour it would be hard to pick the prestart over going dancing.

I still have the slight concern on how I will cope with no dancing for over 6 weeks, considering how extreme I am at the moment. I'm really looking forward to the lady's play work shop next Sunday, I've been looking out for it since last year. Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be another dancer on my tours.

I need to email Manfred (Mum's Cousin this week to jack up my accommodation in Germany. I'm looking forward to meeting the family over there, especially Manfred's wife Monika, my namesake. I think it'll be quite cool to meet the person I was named after.

Random thing on my list to do while over there is to go see my Great Grandmother's grave in Szentendre (that's just out of Budapest), Granddad wants to make sure that it's all looking nice.

8 Weeks, Netbooks and Moving

Well I have 8 weeks to go from today, which means I turn thirty in 7 weeks. That's not warranted this blog entry, as momentous as it is. Yesterday I brought a netbook, an Acer Aspire One. It's basically feels like I'm playing with a toy computer, but I'm loving it. I thought I would take it to Esquires tomorrow afternoon and give it a test run outside.

Oh and today was spent moving house. A big thank you to Matthew for all your help.

9 Weeks to go

Well I've reached single digits, It's getting a little scary now. I haven't really got much to say. When not dancing, sleeping or working my time is occupied with researching netbooks. I've got my eye one in particular and hopefully the wonderful Tom can spare some time on Thursday and I can get his opinion.

Oh and apart from dancing lots, I went to see Star Trek. I really enjoyed it, although the lack of presence of the fairer sex was very evident.

I am not alone

News of the day is that I am not alone. Carolyn and I went for pancakes yesterday and I was filling her in on my impending adventuring. Connections were then made and well... Carolyn's flatmate is going on the European Adventure Contiki on the same date as me. Wow, what a small world. We are going to organise a dinner in June to meet and stuff before hand. It will be nice to have some connection to home for the trip I suspect and enyone that is friends with Carolyn is bound to be nice.
